In a continuing effort to learn more about the Indian Higher Education Community and for the community to learn about JSTOR, a free regional event will be held on October 9, 2015 at Senate Chamber, University of Kerala jointly by INFLIBNET Centre and University of Kerala.

Prof. Sugathakumari the eminent Malayalam poetess has been chosen for the prestigious Saraswati Samman 2012 for her poetry collection ‘Manalezhuthu’ (The Writing on the Sand). An exhibition of publications was conducted by the Kerala University Library from April 22 to May 4, in honour of Prof. Sugathakumari.
The Kerala University Library is organizing a two day training programme for the library staff of the University of Kerala on 26th and 27th of March 2013 at the Academic Staff College, Kariavattom. The programme is intended to provide an exposure to the emerging information and communication technology tools and techniques in the field of Library and Information Science.
The Kerala University Library has organized an exhibition of literary works of the famous Malayalam writer S K Pottekatt(14-3-1913 – 6-8-1982) in connection with his Birth Centenary Celebrations. He is the author of several novels, short stories, poems, essays, travelogues and a drama. His biographical novel Oru Desathinte Katha won the Kerala Sahithya Academy Award in 1972, the Kendra Sahithya Academy Award in 1977, and the Jnanpith Award in 1980. The exhibition is open to the public till April 10, 2013.
The Kerala University Library has launched the eminent scholar membership.
Literary critic Dr. P.K. Rajasekharan being issued the first Eminent Scholar Membership of the library by the university Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Prabhash at the function held in the library hall at 2.30 p.m on 20th November 2012.
